This is a two day clinic for beginners to advanced skill levels held throughout the months of February, March, and April.

  • Practical Glaciology
  • Snow and Ice Anchor Placement
  • Glacier Travel
  • Crevasse Rescue
  • Hauling Systems
  • Lowering Systems
  • Scenario Drills

+Dress for Backcountry Activity


The course involves periods of activity and periods of rest. Please dress warmly.

+ Please bring your own Lunch and snacks

+Should have the following equipment

  • One Rope (per three People)
  • Harness
  • Belay device
  • Cordellette (16 feet of 6 mil cord)
  • 2 large, locking carabiners
  • pulley
  • 2 carabiners
