25 yrs old (26th bday on the mountain!! 5'4" 130# live
in Juneau for 3.5 years. I live in a treehouse with my partner
and 2 awesome dogs.

graduated Lewis and Clark College in 1995 with a poli sci
degree

Work in a group residential home for at-risk youth and am
part of the wilderness program there.

Rock climb at a 5.9+ level (have climbed in Oregon, Wahington,
Alaska and Thailand) Beginning ice climber...my first season
and I love it!!!!!!

Snowboard, kayak, bike, yoga and anything outdoors is what
I love. have WFR training and completed extensive avalanche
evaluation courses I fell in love with mountains when I first
saw the Tetons in Wyoming in the early 90's. Knew right away
I was going to get UP THERE.

Started my mountaineering life by just doing long backpacking
trips which etended into more and more winter camping adventures
and more risky back country trips.

Spent one summer climbing peaks in Montana's Glacier Ntional
Park right after college graduation. Moved to Alaska.

Started to play on the Mendenhall glacier right out of town
and learning as much as possible about snow and how best to
travel in it.

Took a big leap by going to the Himalaya in India in 1997
to do a 5 week mountaineering course through Nols. Accomplished
goal of attaining a pass at 18,600". Learned a lot about
technical climbing through this experience ane continued to
add on to knowledge through personal trips since then in Nepal
and in Alaska.

Looking forward to the comraderie with these other women and
the sense of accmplishment of attainning such a lofty goal.

limits of endurance and will power.
